Summer salmon slam! What a day! Luck was on our side, or was it the hard working captain mark? A gloomy day turned to sunny skies and the ocean was glass. Mark took the time to try different spots and depths to ensure we found the fish… and we did! After limiting out on chinooks, mark promptly reeled in and travelled to a new spot to target coho and it paid off. Being a first time salmon fisher lady myself, mark was patient and gave great direction, his laid back personality made for a great first experience fishing in ucluelet. Great perks - there was a bathroom on board, everything was spotless and it was a comfortable ride.

Wonderful 2 Day Anniversary/Fishing Charter From the time we met Mark at his expertly outfitted boat to when we left the next day we could not have enjoyed our time more. With our limit of salmon in hand (and halibut) we left with smiles on our faces and our favourite food expertly processed and being shipped home. Mark is a friendly, professional and safety conscious skipper, which made my wife very happy. We will likely make this an annual trip and Mark will for sure be our skipper. Thanks so much!

Great family fishing adventure! We hired Mark on July 18th 2021 to go fishing as a family. Mark was honest and said there are no guarantees fishing but said he would work hard for us and he really delivered! We had a great morning and our children all landed very big salmon! Mark gave us the choice of continuing to target Chinook or going out to bottom fish. He recommended we stick to Salmon, explaining how the run works and the importance of putting in the time (but was completely okay with either decision). Sticking to salmon paid off and we got 7 Salmon to the boat and more than 10 hits we didn't get to the boat. Pretty fantastic day late in the run! The boat was extremely nice and the gear was in great shape. Mark knows what he is doing!

Amazing fishing trip Just had a really enjoyable fishing trip with my father in law. Mark was extremely knowledgeable with the area and the different techniques to use. The salmon were scarce, but he knew where to go and we were still able to catch our limit even though many other boats weren't so lucky. He showed alot of patience even after i let a few big ones off the hook. Then taught me how to catch the fish properly and make sure they make it into the boat. The sheer beauty of the area was enough to want to do it again. Getting to see the whales and dolphins was just a bonus.Id highly recommend Marks Reel Fishing Adventures.

Great Charter Fishing Experience I thought “ come as a client, leave as a friend” was just a cliche but with Mark Durante of Mark’s Reel Fishing Adventures it’s a truth.My Son in Law and I just spent 3 incredible days with Mark and his boat Easy Days fishing off the west coast of Vancouver Island. What a great experience!The Easy Days is a 29 foot boat equipped with all the amenities and technology to assure fishing success. It’s twin 300 hp motors provide more than enough power to take the tops off the waves and get to the hot spots quickly and safely.Our day started at 6:00 AM and literally minutes after departing we were dropping our lines over one of the many”hot spots” Mark knows. From there on it was just plain fun! Mark really works giving great advice on lures to use, depth to fish and constantly checking to ensure lines were clear of seaweed and debris. It wasn’t long long before we had our first hit, a 14 lb Chinook beauty and the largest fish I had ever caught.We took our limit inChinook Salmon even though many charters were coming home without success. Most of the fish we caught were in the 12-16 lb range but two of them were well over 20 lbs.We also tried for halibut but were not successful in getting any in the boat - not for lack of trying. One snapped our line like it was spaghetti. Still, the time spent wasn’t wasted as we got to see dolphins, whales and sea lions up close. That alone was worth the price of the adventure.If you really do want to come as a client and leave as a friend I highly recommend Mark and his Easy Days -I know we’ll be back.Don McLaughlin Kamloops,BC

Great fishing trip with Markt We booked Mark on a last minute fishing trip on an mid-September trip to Ucluelet. What's not to like? Price was the going rate. Really great fishing set up on his boat. Mark was great to communicate with setting up the trip. Me and my buddy are both experienced fisherman and Mark was great at letting us bring our own poles and catch fish from the pole wag to the deck. It was the end of the season, fishing was not hot by any means from what we heard from all the guides we talked t,o in fact it was really the last day for most guides and many were all ready off for the seasons. Mark was honest about the conditions. In spite of being slow he put us a lot of fish for a half day tip. He worked his butt off trying different areas getting us in close to find bait. We ended up getting two nice Coho and a once Chinook. I'd definitely recommend Mark as your Ukee guide; he knows the area, his boat is set up very well, he's a super straightforward guide, and want's his guest to have a great experience. Thanks Mark!

Another great trip!!!!! Another trip out with Mark and again we were not disappointed in the least, hard to not have a great time while fishing with him. As always his humour and attention to detail are second to none and you immediately feel at ease the second you set foot onboard! Salmon Success We had a great morning out on the water with Mark. He was both personable and professional. And most importantly, we caught our salmon limits with time to spare! He took the time to get some good pictures of us with our catch to commemorate the day. You could tell that he takes great care of his boat, and that cleanliness is a priority for him. He went over all the safety measures with us before leaving the harbor, which gave us more peace of mind as passengers on the boat. We would definitely recommend Mark to anyone looking for a good, stress-free time on the water.

Great First Salmon Fishing Trip We have been to the Pacific Rim NP several times and the children always love it for the beaches and adventure. This year, they asked to go fishing...The trip was the first for our children 9 and 11 years old. We picked the half day tour because we did not know how easy they would get bored. Timing was perfect for the children. We caught several Chinook, and the kids helped with bringing in the catch. On the way back, Mark stopped at a quiet area and he cleaned the fish. He even recommended a place were we could it packed and flash frozen. It was an exciting and educational trip for all of us. Mark is a great captain, his boat is beautiful and fast.When we are back this way, we'll definitly go on annother fishing adventure with Mark.

Wonderful family adventure! Mark took our family of four out for a 4 hour fishing trip. We have two kids, ages 5 and 8, and it was their first time on a boat smaller than a ferry. I wasn't sure how they would do, but Mark tailored the trip so it was just perfect for them and we all had a great time. It was definitely one of the big highlights of our vacation, and weeks later my 8 year old is still talking about the 17 pound chinook that she caught. Mark was extremely professional and really great with the kids. I definitely recommend booking a trip with him!

Best salmen ever Marc is a very professionel fisher and also a good guide. We saw wildlife and a wale. One of the salmon we caughed, was barbecued by Mark on the boat.The trip is worth the money.

Chinook fishing Mark had taken my family and I out on a 6 hour fishing trip for chinook! Amazing day with Mark We had a fantastic 8 hours journey with captain Mark. We are a family of 4 with little fishing experience and he made sure everybody was able to catch something. Best Fishing Guide and Charter in BC! My husband and I came right before the real season started, Mark was honest and told us it was gonna be tough but that we would get some fish! Sure enough I caught my limit and my husband was right behind me missing just 1! On the way out we were greeted by an Otter and during the time saw gorgeous Bald Eagles all around us, one came down and stole a fish we had just let go! Mark pointed out the wildlife all around us and was always watching the water! We had fun joking around the whole time! He was very attentive and cared about us and our moments of sickness and was very in tune with us the whole time! Mark celebrated our victories with us! cleaned and gutted all of our fish for us and showed us where to go the get them processed! He took photos for us and helped us document the good time! It was a great first deep sea fishing adventure and I am so happy we picked Mark to experience it with! We will be back, not only to fish but to see our new friend, Mark! Thank you so much, friend! Amazing trip once again! My wife and I brought our kids 6 and 9 out to Ukee for a vacation and having previously had a great time with Mark we took the kids out, couldn’t have went better! As always Mark was amazing and we had a fantastic time. My youngest daughter peppered him both days non stop with questions and he really made an impression on her with his answers and humour! This time of year our expectations for great fishing were low but Mark got us on some amazing Ling Cod and Rock fish, also a tub full of Dungeness crab. We had already booked for a trip in the summer and can not wait to get back out here and get on some fish again with no longer our “guide” but our “friend” Mark, see you in August buddy, can’t wait!

Great day on the water We booked a last minute charter with mark on Sept 18th. The boat was nice and clean, especially the washroom. He set us up with some beginner rods, this being our first ocean fishing trip. Mark was quick to jump to action to help my husband land his first salmon. Mark will really work hard to find the fish for you even at the tail end of the season, and we still got to go home with a cooler full of fish. We can't wait to come back next year to fish again! Fabulous day Mark was courteous, professional and fun. We had a super day and were as hands on as we wanted to be. Mark had certainly done his homework and selected a site that yielded 3 large halibut for the three of us. He had a ton of stories to tell during our time on board and we were made to feel like friends. Two thumbs up for this wonderful trip.

Fantastic day on the water! First time deep sea fishing for most of us. Mark is "the Man", he explained everything to us very clearly and instructed us step by step how to land a catch. Lots of laughs, great sense of humour. We just kept reeling them in all day long.
